Lies of Pdle

Boss, weapon or Legion Arm: guess today's enigma. Every guess tears out a fragment of truth.

How to play

How to play the Amulet mode

The Amulet mode, nicknamed Amuldle, works like the Weapon mode: the page shows the icon of one of the 46 amulets of Lies of P, and you have to name it. Amulets are the accessories that give P passive bonuses, and 16 of those in the list come from the Overture DLC. Upgraded versions with a +1, +2 or +3 suffix are not counted separately: each amulet appears once, under its base name.

How a round works

The icon of the day sits in a frame above the input field. Type a few letters, then pick a suggestion with the arrow keys and Enter, or with a click. Case and accents don't matter, and the English name works as well as the name in your language. One trick saves time: every amulet's name contains the word Amulet, so typing it narrows nothing. Type the other word instead, such as the creature, the trade or the quality the amulet is named after.

As in the Weapon mode, the suggestions have no thumbnails, so that nobody can solve the puzzle by matching pictures. Each guess appears under the field with its own icon, marked right or wrong, and there is no limit on the number of guesses.

Reading the icon

An amulet icon gives you less to hold on to than a weapon, so compare with method. Look at the overall outline first, then the dominant color, then the motif in the middle. Put each wrong guess next to the mystery icon and note what matches and what doesn't before you type the next name. Wrong guesses are not wasted either: they teach you names you will recognize on the following days.

What the amulet card shows

When you find the amulet, its card shows four values from the game files:

ValueWhat it means
FamilyThe kind of effect: Offensive, Defensive, Utility or Special
WeightThe weight of the amulet in the game
PriceWhat a merchant pays when you sell it
DLCWhether the amulet comes from Overture

The family is a grouping made for the site: Offensive for attack bonuses, Defensive for defense and resistances, Special for amulets tied to a boss or to Fable Arts, and Utility for everything else. Weight and price are read from the game's data, version 1.12.0.0.

How today's amulet is chosen

The server draws the amulet of the day from the date and a secret key, and checks every guess, so the answer can't be read from the page. It changes at midnight UTC for all players. Since each day is drawn on its own, an amulet can come back after a few days.

Your guesses are saved in your browser until the reset. The Practice button above the icon gives you random amulets to train on, outside your statistics. The Share button copies the amulet's name along with your result, so send it only to people who have already played.

The amulets guide and the amulets codex go through the whole list.

Frequently asked questions

Are upgraded amulets part of the list?
No. Versions with a +1, +2 or +3 suffix are left out, so each amulet appears once, under its base name.
Are the Overture amulets included?
Yes, 16 of the 46 amulets come from the DLC.
Why do the suggestions have no pictures?
Otherwise the puzzle could be solved by comparing thumbnails with the mystery icon. You only see an amulet's icon once you have guessed it.
What decides an amulet's family?
Its main effect: attack for Offensive, defense and resistances for Defensive, a link to a boss or to Fable Arts for Special, and Utility for the rest. It is a grouping made for the site, not an in-game category.
When does a new amulet appear?
Every day at midnight UTC, at the same moment as the other four puzzles.
